A vibrant small business sector is the best route out of poverty for the vaste majority of poor people living in developing countries.  You can make a real difference by helping build jobs and economic opportunities for the future.

Mentori Mentors can also use their business skills to help a whole range of worthwhile development programmes and organisations in developing countries.

Because Mentori is online you can use it from anywhere with internet connection, from the office, home or even your local internet café.

Mentori is a renewable one year programme that is designed to fit around your personal and work commitments.  On average mentors volunteer 4 hours a month (about 1 hour a week), but if both you and your mentee you want to spend more time using Mentori that’s fine - Mentori is open 24hrs a day!

The online training we give you on how to mentor draws on best practice coaching techniques.  We want you to become a great coach, not only because you will be able to help your mentee even more but also because it is a skill that could be useful to you in your own work and could enhance your future job prospects.  In fact, coaching and mentoring was identified by managers as one of the top three skills gaps (Cook and Jackson, 2006).
